This little kitchen in Alamo Heights is a charmer & a true testament to the fact that smaller spaces need smart design even more than large ones! With a dark & narrow layout, every design choice we made served to keep the space feeling open, light, & airy. 

Key choices included: moving the range to the back wall, selecting fresh white paint to lighten the space, & choosing high-gloss, mosaic tiles to simultaneously create depth and reflect natural light from the window. The wood elements and whitewashed brick add a rustic, cottage feel to the home, and functional features — like pull-out cabinets & a custom pantry at the entrance — make this pint-sized kitchen feel mighty.
