Inside Styleberry’s San Antonio Interior Design Studio

Our team expanded last spring, & our previous San Antonio interior design studio — a pretty corner office we loved — was no longer big enough for the three of us. Buuuuut, we weren’t going to say goodbye to it so easily. We love it here at 500 6th Street! The building houses a beautiful co-working space with private offices & a great vibe.

We knew (hoped, really) that a bigger office would open up someday. Well… “someday” turned out to be last spring. A larger studio became available right down the hall from our first, & we scooped it up fast! Can you say, easiest move ever?

We spent a day transforming it into our very own home-away-from-home and Place of Magic, which, funny enough, is the name of the Emily Jeffords painting we have hanging on the wall. (She’s one of my favorite artists.) Now, the Styleberry design studio is bright, full of good energy, & the only place in my life that I can count on to be clean at all times!

Now, I finally get to share our San Antonio studio space with you, and I think you’ll love it. P.S. Keep reading to the end to hear how our “staggered” office schedule has transformed productivity…

Designer-Worthy Desks & Large Monitors

We love these designer desks. With surface area to spare, they are the perfect collaborative space where ideas can flow freely across the table. Big monitors help us see all the details, which, after all, makes the design! Flowy drapery gives us privacy but also softens the space for that relaxed vibe that Styleberry does so well.

As designers & plant parents, we also could resist bringing in lots of natural greenery. A touch of nature indoors always feels right. Confession: This fiddle fig tree is the only faux tree in our office! We had a real one, but I brought it home with me back in 2020 when we started working remotely…and I can’t bear to part with it now. Plus, sometimes a good fake is worth the investment, especially if you struggle to keep plants alive!

Magnet Board & Drawer Space for Design Projects

Whether we are working on projects for clients in San Antonio or virtually across the country, we always specify materials using samples of the actual materials. Our trusty magnet board makes it easy to create design concepts with fabric memos, paint chips, wood and tile samples, etc. It’s a real-life mood board!

Below, we keep all of these design essentials organized and labeled for easy reference. I am someone who believes that time should never be wasted searching for things you can’t find, at work or at home, so having an organization system was a must for us.

My Office, Rug Samples & Stylish Decor

Although you can’t really see it in the photo, I have a smaller, standing desk in my office. When I need to do design work, I’ll go over to our designers’ desks to collaborate or use the magnet board. But here, this is where I can really settle into the deep work of running a business & keeping our projects organized.

My corner also has all the office-y things stored in a bookcase, along with our signature scent & a dog bed for whenever my boxer puppy, Poppy, is here! The gray cabinet is where we keep our client’s designs for easy reference during the design process, plus a few of our favorite rugs.

An Ambiance & Schedule for Creative Collaboration

Last but not least, the layout and flow of this space was designed to embrace everything we and our clients love about Styleberry: relaxed, soul-soothing spaces that make life easier and connections stronger. Every element of the design serves this purpose…and our schedule does, too.

We have a unique schedule of rotating office hours that keep our creative spirits alive. How? We only meet as a team on Tuesdays & Thursdays. On the other days, I’ll either have my quiet, solo office hours, or our designers have the option to use the space or work from home as needed. This staggered schedule makes our studio less of a “daily drudge to the office” and more of a place to thrive. & we all love it!!

We can’t wait to use this beautiful space to design your home, too.
